WHO WE ARE
The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library is the only organization established solely to provide financial and volunteer support for the Larchmont Public Library. Government funding alone does not finance all of the needs and cultural events that make our Library such a special community resource for all ages. The Friends of the Library provides money for specific library items and sponsors numerous cultural and community enrichment events throughout the year, showcasing authors, musicians and performing groups to the community.
We raise money through annual “friendship” donations, special fundraising campaigns such as the Magazine Subscription Drive and events, such as the Spelling Bee, the Scarecrow Festival and the Miniature Golf Tournament. We maintain a free book shelf at the railroad station. We help home bound patrons borrow library materials. Please join us and become a friend of the Library.
